In the Land of Cupcakes.

What is it about cupcakes.... that make them so sinfully good? The super moist cake... so rich and flavorsome. The velvety smooth whipped frosting... with all the added gourmet fufu toppings. What ever it may be .... CUPCAKES whether mini or large.... are just devine heavenly goodness.

Two local bakeries.... Nom Nom's and Just Baked.... are a wonderful place to satisfy your cravings and a wonderful place for inspiration at least in my mind. With that being said.... here is a delicious work in progress peek of my latest creations being cooked up in my studio. This cupcake is for sure going to be SWEET and TWISTED!

Meet Sherri B... The Urban Farm Diva!

This down to earth lady does it all..... from farming and gardening, running numerous crafting companies, such as the ScrapBook Stamp Society, Addicted To Stamps, Fantasy Fabric Blocks,etc... she's an amazing artist too. Just check out her Sherri Baldy Art Gallery website. Today though..... Instead of her art... I want to share with you... her tremendous gardening DIVA skills, her love of animals and her AMAZING and I do mean AMAZING cooking skills. First her gardening.... A gourmet treat! Check out these FABULOUS Pumpkins she grows......

They are called Galeux D'eysines Pink Pumpkin Seeds ....and even has these unique DIVAISH organic pumpkin seeds available for sale! Yes, I have ordered mine and am so looking forward to seeing some pink sugary pumpkins growing in my garden! Keep your fingers crossed everyone that I have a green thumb like Sherri does. Sherri also loves animals. She has numerous dogs, I think last count there was 18.. which includes numerous rescued dogs, horses and even Silkie Chickens..... and her Silkies just had a bunch of lil hatchlings.... which needless to say are just precious tiny lil irresistible fluff balls. See for yourself....

My favorite is the lil one standing by himself with the strip on his head. Isn't he so PRECIOUS!!!! I've named that lil fella ( atleast hoping its a lil fella.... Edgar. If its a girl, well I guess I'll have to call her Eggie! LOL Now for the gourmet chef in Sherri. She is always in the kitchen cooking.. from Maple Bacon Cupcakes... YUM to gourmet meals fit for a king!

I have another NEW  Sweet and Twisted Treat for you!

For the past few months I have been working on a sinfully sweet NEW Art Collection called TWISTED SUGAR ART! I'd like introduce you to "Chantal" Absynthe Poison Pop... my 3rd installment to my new tantalizing collection.

I really  enjoyed   creating this  darker  Twisted Sugar Piece. For those of you not familiar  with  Absinthe.....
Absinthe  is historically described as a distilled highly alcholic  beverage. It is an anise flavoured  spirit derived from botanicals, including the flowers and leaves of . "grand wormwood"), together with green  anise, sweet fennel, and other medicinal and culinary herbs. Absinthe traditionally has a natural green colour but may also be colourless. It is commonly referred to in historical literature as "la fée verte" (the green fairy). Although it is sometimes mistakenly referred to as a liquer, absinthe is not traditionally bottled with added sugar, and is therefore classified as a spirit. Absinthe is traditionally bottled at a high level of , but is normally diluted with water prior to being consumed.
Traditionally, absinthe is prepared by placing a sugar cube on top of a specially designed splotted spoon, and then placing the spoon on the glass which has been filled with a measure of absinthe. Iced water is then poured or dripped over the sugar cube in a manner whereby the water is slowly and evenly displaced into the absinthe, such that the final preparation contains 1 part absinthe and 3-5 parts water.

In my  work of   art.. the  sugar  cube is the  tantalizing Poison Pop herself.
